Investors: Press Release
High Tech, High Growth Mobile Robot Co. Needs Programmers, Engineers, and More-
ATLANTA, GA, Feb. 5, 2009 -- GeckoSystems Intl. Corp. (PINKSHEETS: GCKO) announced today that they are actively seeking software developers and engineers for further development and commercialization of their Mobile Robot Solutions for Safety, Security and Service.
"During the last significant recession in 1980-1982, the downturn of the economy dramatically accelerated the adoption of a significant and very disruptive technology, the Personal Computer," commented Martin Spencer, president/CEO, GeckoSystems. "The immediate impact of the cost saving drove the PC into markets faster than the adoption in good economic times. Due to the less than one year payback for many, if not most, of our mobile service robot solutions, we expect our growth to be driven not only by the economic downturn, but also pent up demand."
The Company's mobile robot solutions are appropriate for the consumer, professional healthcare, commercial security/public safety and defense markets. The consumer has needs for family care assistance with remote monitoring and notification. Professional healthcare needs cost effective nighttime errand running, portable telemedicine, etc. Commercial security and public safety need mobile robots tirelessly patrolling to detect intruders, monitor crowds, and detect other hazards.
Qualifying software programmer candidates will work towards solving challenging issues in Artificial Intelligence, Human Machine Interaction, Situational Awareness and Sensor Fusion, etc. GeckoNav, GeckoChat and GeckoTrak are but three of the several leading edge, AI software engines that they will be working on.
Qualifying electrical engineering candidates will work towards solving challenging issues in Control Systems, Hardware Abstraction, Situational Awareness and Sensor Fusion, among others. GeckoOrient, GeckoTactileShroud, GeckoTrak, and the GeckoSPIO are but four of the several leading edge, sensor fusion technologies that they will be working on.
GeckoSystems is presently working on their fourth generation CareBot Mobile Service Robot that is taking multitasking personal robots to a new level of assistance, interaction and cost effectiveness. This new CareBot is slated to go into production later this year with design to cost and ease of manufacturing leading design goals.
The GeckoSystems' corporate culture promotes creative thinking and acknowledges the validity of everyone’s opinion and differing perceptions. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply. We have been training degreed programmers and engineers how to do mobile robot software and hardware development for many years.
Seasoned executives with MBA's with experience in marketing, finance, or manufacturing are also being sought. Significant equity opportunities, based on performance, can be developed for those qualifying candidates invited to join the GeckoSystems management team.
