GeckoSystems exhibited in the Emerging Robotics Pavilion (Booth #434) during the International Robots & Vision Show. In addition, Martin Spencer, GeckoSystems President and CEO, presented in the Emerging Robot Applications conference session on Wednesday, September 28.

"GeckoSystems, Inc. (Booth #434 in the Emerging Robotic
Pavilion) - GeckoSystems has created an eldercare capable
Mobile Service Robot (MSR), called the CareBot, and will
have several working examples at the show.
The CareBot monitors an elderly person and their
environment by following them automatically from room
to room, and alerting designated parties of abnormal
conditions. Their MSR enables web-based
videoconferencing with family, friends, and/or
physicians. In addition, their MSR provides
verbal interaction for timely medication reminders and
daily routines. The CareBot can even tell
jokes and anecdotes to give a reassuring sense of
friendly companionship."
